Hosting the first Rehberg-Tester debate

I’ve been selected for the three-person panel questioning Rehberg and Tester on June 16

Rehberg

The Senatorial race between incumbent Sen. Jon Tester and challenger Rep. Denny Rehberg has long been dubbed the most contested seat in the Senate for the 2012 elections.

Tester

The two starkly contrasted Montana politicians were quick to schedule the first debate of the general elections campaign after the June 5 primaries. The debate, which will be held during the Montana Newspaper Association’s 127th annual convention, should receive more than ample press to boil the campaign over.

I’ve been selected for the three-person panel of questioners for the debate along with a journalist from Bozeman and another from Dillon. It’s a unique opportunity to kick off early headlines and create the framework for what has already become a back and forth between the Republican Congressman and Liberal Senator.

That said, I’d like to extend the invitation for our Montana readers to submit questions they’d like to ask the candidates. Questions should be unbiased, but can be aimed at specifics related to the candidates. Send questions to twanderson1989@gmail.com.

Also, answer the poll based on what you believe are the biggest issues related to this particular election. It would be nice to get a sense for what Montanans feel hard-pressed issues are for this election.

Thanks for reading and please pass along this post to other, politically motivated friends to help me form the best debate questions possible.

Cheers,

Taylor Anderson
